Men On Boats (Jaclyn Backhaus)

Director Keelie Sheridan and I wanted to create a set of portraits that depicted the grit and feel of the era in which Jacklyn Backhaus’ play, Men On Boats took place.

The play portrays the true(ish) history of an 1869 expedition, when a one-armed captain and a crew of insane yet loyal volunteers set out to chart the course of the Colorado River.
